Welcome to the first step in a unforgettable adventure!!
If you’re just skimming web sights checking prices you can skip all the fun and good stuff and go to the bottom of this page where I have my price listed.
However, if you’re really interested in a life long experience that will change you’re life, read on, drool over the pictures and imagine you’re sitting there in the blind with me, antsy with anticipation, and your day plays out like this….
There’s a silence. A eerie quiet that lays heavy in the bush. You shift your weight in the chair, leaning forward peering out into the dusk. You can feel it, you’re ready. a mosquito flies by and you inadvertently swing at it, missing. You refocus. There. A brown bear has materialized out of the bush and is feeding at the bait. You don’t know how he got there, but he’s there. It’s go time. Your heart races like you’ve never imagined. two seconds prior you were at full rest, now your adrenaline has kicked in and your moment has emerged.
I whisper in your ear, “ooooh take ’em”. And then it gets real.
This could be you. Sound fun? It is immensely exciting! One client I hunted with had a watch on that measured his heart rate, he went from a resting 52 bpm to 120bpm in one heart beat when the bear showed up!!
“Exceptional hunt. Lots of bears on the bait. Took 2 nice brown bears 3 minutes apart. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning. ” – Steve
This is bear baiting for Alaska’s Brown Bears. Many unknowns, and every moment carrying the potential to be exhilarating. Boredom of the wait, punctuated by mountains blanketed with snow. Moose traveling thru, wolves howling off in the distance and the inability to take your eyes off the bait!
I run several bait stations, currently all serviced weekly by me and my airplane. access to the baits, is via a super cub, the Alaskan bush plane. I will fly you out to a bait site where I will guide you or one of my guides will take care of you. There are no hills, and very limited physical requirements for these hunts. I can usually land within a few hundred feet of the bait sites. Last season i carried 5000 pounds of dog food to bait stations, so you can imagine I don’t have time to carry all that very far! So we land close!
Rifles in the .30 caliber and higher are great, shoot them well. Shots are typically under 120 yards and some much closer, being proficient under pressure is still important. Bow hunters are welcome, all of my bow hunters have been able to put arrows into brown bears thus far.
We hunt from ground blinds, that are large and comfortable. a sleeping pad is in each one for naps and chairs for sitting and watching. While spring in Alaska, has close to 24 hours of daylight, we still get tired and need to sleep!

If you have questions, or curiosity’s about any of this, drop me a line and I can help with them. Bears are what I do, some of my areas have a two brown bear limit and multiple black bears. we can set up hunts for multiple bears, or just for one. The ability to customize a trip to meet your hopes and dreams is what we do!

Bear baiting is relatively simple when it comes to gear. I do ask that you pack light and use small compression bags, large duffles are difficult to load into the super cub and take up a lot of space. as soft gun case is fine but not needed.
